About this project

Contactless medical act.

Through the usability engineering process, which encompasses both formative and summative research and integrating the context of the healthcare environment and the usability of the Temi service robot for contactless hospotal proceedure was simulated and tested.

Temi

AI in motion

Temi: AI in Motion, founded by Yossi Wolf, started with the mission to assist his grandmother. It's the world's first robot catering to various needs in business, healthcare, and home care. Temi is used globally in retail for customer assistance and in hotels for welcoming guests and self-check-in. The team is excited about future expansions with new models.

Robots in healthcare settings

As this project focused in robots in healthcare environments, here are 4 main types of robots are used in the medical environment

Temi model introduction

Users’ needs for temi in hospital

The questionnaire results revealed that, in addition to functional requirements, emotional needs also held significant importance, especially in situations where the robot interacts with patients.
Past experiences with robots.
Serving between patients and non-patients.

Designing the tasks

The tasks were carefully planned to assess the usability of the service robot within a healthcare setting.
There were 4 tasks in which users collaborated with the robot to accomplish specific objectives.

Experiment with the users

7 participants were involved in the experiment
Feedback, & Interface Confusion were found to be the main obstacles during the experiment.
